WELCOME TO THE FEBRUARY EDITION OF THE STERLING E-NEWSLETTER
Firstly we would like to say a big thank you to all the contractors who completed our satisfaction survey. You can read more about our findings below but overall we received really positive feedback on our service, which was great to hear.
2014 is getting off to a great start for Sterling and our contractors, growth is continuing and we are able to help more and more contractors maximise their income. Thank you for your continued loyalty and feedback, which constantly helps us adapt and improve the services we provide.
Congratulations to Luke Frayling, the lucky winner of an iPad mini for taking part in the recent Sterling survey. Thanks to all the contractors who participated, we’re currently analysing the results but we wanted to share with you a few of the top line figures.
To set the scene 79% of respondents were current contractors and 21% had used Sterling in the past and an incredible 99% of respondents were happy with the service you received. Of those previous contractors we found out the majority of people left Sterling for a new contract. The majority of people who responded to the question ‘what would make you stay with Sterling?’ were keen for us to continue our good service and quality of advice. Finally, 84% of you find our website either very or quite useful.
We’re going to use the results to inform how we improve what we do so that we continue providing a quality service. We’re always open to feedback from contractors – email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any ideas, suggestions or feedback.

MEET THE TEAM – NUSRAT BEGUM, CUSTOMER ADMINISTRATION
What do you do at Sterling?
As part of the Customer Administration team I am responsible for handling calls from our contractors and agencies, it is my job to assist customers and clients with all day to day queries which can vary from payments to expenses or documentation. I am also responsible for creating Sterling contractor records for customers ensuring all correct paperwork has been provided which is then logged, verified and scanned. I also carry out various administration duties including distributing post and preparing stationary orders.
What is a typical day like?
A typical day starts with logging into Sterling’s phone system ready to take calls. I also ensure post is distributed and all paper work is logged, scanned and checked. No day is ever the same really – it depends on what paperwork or phone calls we receive. Fridays are always the busiest as we tend to receive most calls from contractors due to payments being processed.
What’s the best thing about working at Sterling?
I have been working for Sterling for over 10 years now and I really enjoy it, I love my colleagues and I think we all work really well as a team - Sterling is a great company to work for.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I like spending time with my girls who are 9 and 6, love watching movies and eating out too!
New ‘Frequently asked questions’ section
After listening to your feedback we are in the process of creating a ‘frequently asked questions’ (FAQs) section on our website.
We’ve combined a list of the most commonly asked questions from our contractors, so hopefully any queries you have will be answered by a quick visit to our website. We hope you find these useful, look out for them later this month.
